Your privacy is important. The Parish Churches App privacy policy has a few fundamental principles:
- The Parish Churches App does not ask for your personal information unless it truly needs it.
- Your personal information is not shared with anyone except as described below or as required by law.
- Personal information is not stored on servers beyond what is required for the ongoing operation of the service.
This privacy policy relates to the Parish Churches Android, iOS and desktop applications and associated server infrastructure (collectively “the Parish Churches App”). The author of the Parish Churches App is C. B. Newham FSA.
Information We Collect
The Parish Churches App collects the following personal information:
- Account information: Email address and display name, provided when creating an account or signing in with Google.
- Authentication data: Managed via Google Firebase Authentication. Google’s privacy policy applies to data processed by Firebase.
- Subscription data: Subscription status and purchase history are managed via RevenueCat. RevenueCat’s privacy policy applies to data processed by their service. No payment card details are stored by the author — all payment processing is handled by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Usage data: Non-personally-identifying information such as device type, operating system version, and server request timestamps may be collected to improve the service.
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and maintain your login session
- To verify and manage your subscription status across devices
- To improve the app and understand usage patterns
Data Sharing
The author does not sell or rent your personal information to any third party. Personal information is shared only with:
- Firebase (Google) — for authentication
- RevenueCat — for subscription management
- Google Play / Apple App Store — for payment processing
- Law enforcement or regulatory authorities, where required by law
Data Retention and Deletion
Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days. Note that Firebase and RevenueCat may retain data in accordance with their own policies.
Privacy Policy Changes
The author may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app following any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
